As you see most of my paintings are animals.Dogs have always been my first love so I do lots of them. I have recently begun to do wildlife as a way to bring to the attention of the public of the plight of some of the endangered species. Some of them have been unknown, such as the Red Wolf which is a native to the Southeastern U.S. He's in my area so he is one of my favorites. He had been declared extinct until a few of them were captured and a breeding program was begun.
Actually I love all of nature and you will seldom find signs of civilization in my works.
I work in colored pencil, pastel and oil. I love the pencils as they make it possible to do some fine detail, that is difficult if to do with a brush or even the sharpened edge of a a piece of pastel.
I hope that people will enjoy my art as much as I enjoyed creating it.
