PHILOSOPHY
Renee loves the beauty of the natural world and the innocence and creativity of youth. Renee believes that art should enhance the home and inspire the human spirit with works of stunning beauty and clarity. The artwork should portray the beauty within the person, tell a story, or create uplifting feelings in the spectator. These beliefs are portrayed in her works.
Renee’s favorite subjects include nature, wildlife, scenes from around the city of New Orleans, and portraits of babies, families, and pets. Renee likes to capture the sparkle and the personality of the subject in her art. Renee has always been a perfectionist and she strives for perfection in every piece of art she creates.
BACKGROUND
Renee Lowe Barnes is an artist who was born in New Orleans, Louisiana November of 1979. She received Honor credits in all her art classes in High School and is currently going back to college for a second degree in Visual Communications and Graphic Design. She is a member of the Arts Council of New Orleans, the AIGA and the Society of Children's Books Writer's and Illustrators. Renee is also studying digital art and media and is proficient in the use of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom software. She continues to adapt with the times by studying and upgrading the technology for her art business and the result is beautiful images of high print quality.
Renee opened her online art business in June 2010. She sells hand drawn or painted renderings of people and animals and she is also selling high quality Limited Edition Giclee Prints of different original artworks. Renee has also been trained in digital photography and is selling all of her best photography here at Fine Art America. Renee's artworks span a range of mediums which include graphite pencil, color pencil, pastels, acrylic, oils, watercolor, digital media and photography.
Renee works out of her home studio in Metairie and plans to continue adding to her online portfolio here at Fine Art America.
