Paul Cowan takes retro a step further with his latest wall-art series, the Historic Camera set. Featuring classic cameras from the 30s, 40s and 50s, these photographes were themselves taken on a classic camera - the Pentacon Six - using black and white Fomapan film, which itself is based on a formula from the 1950s. The entire series was shot on a single roll of 120 film which was then hand-developed, ensuring that the entire set has a uniform, retro look. "This saeries lacks the clinical perfection of digital photographs", Paul said. "There is grain to be seen in larger sizes and I expect some micro-scratches in the film emulsion will also be visible under close examination. But that is the individuality and charm of film.
