Born in the suburbs of Philadelphia, Nancy was raised in a very active, athletic, and artistic family. She spent her early years in Somerton, PA. involved in many activities including gymnastics, ballet, ice skating, skiing, surfing, windsurfing and racing small sailboats in the back bays of southern New Jersey where she spent her summers.
