I love all types of photography including landscapes, wildlife, nature, plus whatever catches my eye. It's just a case of being in the right place at the right time. I have taken several photography classes from some local professionals plus some online courses. I am learning to become creative with some of my photos and have produced some cute whimsical prints that are for children's rooms or a nursery.
I have been taking photographs for many, many years beginning with 35mm. I love old vintage and antique photos taken with older style cameras. I have a high resolution scanner so I can now scan my old photos, negatives, slides, etc. The outcome has been wonderful and I have been able to share some great memories with my family and friends. I have been fortunate to win an award for my entries into a local photo art contest and my work has been featured in the local newspaper.
I typically use a Nikon D5100 DSLR camera and have learned to keep it with me all the time as I have missed some pretty amazing shots when I didn't have it with me. Big mistake!
