I am a painter, a stained glass artist and a digital artist/ photographer. Most of the work on this site represents my altered photography, a process I like to call photomanipulation. I call it this because I don't actually paint or draw on the photographs, I use layering and effects to create my images. I do this by making multiple copies of the photograph, changing each copy as I go by adding textures, enlarging, altering colors, then I blend all those copies back on top of one anther using blending tools that allow different elements to pop out.
As a native of Delaware, and as a resident of southern Delaware, my paintings and photograghy feature many of the things I see around me, from the back bays and creeks, to the ocean and the boardwalks. I am inspired by the colors of the seasons, awed by the beauty of the sky, and captivated by the lines and structures created by both humans and nature.
