Art is a contemplative practice for me, my lines and patterns emerge from processing the goings on in the world around me. I draw each of the lines and patterns impromptu, without forethought or planning.
Born and raised in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. I studied drawing form and anatomy at the Art Students’ League and illustration design at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, and more design courses at NOVA in Alexandria, VA. All these have influenced the evolution of my techniques and enriched my work.
Art is my passion and a gift that has taken me a long time to share with the world. Alas here it is!
