Elizabeth Robinette Tyndall will soon be able to say that thousands of Californians have a print of one of her works. That's because the 32-year-old painter who specializes in landscapes, and beach and boat scenes, was one of two selected to design California's new "Whale Tail" license plate that was rolled out Tuesday. "I see the water a lot, and I love to paint it and wildlife," Tyndall said. "I put the two together and came up with something I thought would look good." She was one of 300 residents statewide who submitted entries, which varied from photographs to cartoon drawings, Coastal Commission spokeswoman Chris Perry said. Grand Opening Delta Market And ElizaArt For Sale

The long awaited opening of the Delta Farmer's Market will take place on October 1st. A ribbon cutting ceremony is scheduled for 10:00 am on October 1st, featuring California Secretary of Agriculture, AG Kawamura, the Discover the Delta Foundation Board of Directors and Foundation President Ken Scheidegger. Also in attendance will be Supervisor Don Nottoli, Rio Vista Mayor and other local elected officials and dignitaries. The public is invited to watch the ribbon cutting ceremony. After the ribbon cutting, enjoy the live, crisp vocals & sounds of Gary's acoustic tracks. The market will be open following the ceremony and will feature "Unique Gifts and Delta Inspired Art" by Elizabeth Robinette Tyndall!
