I am a Watercolor artist hoping to bring life, beauty and healing through my paintings. I love painting portraits of both people and animals. I try to capture the personality of each subject and focus a great deal on the eyes as they truly are the windows of the heart.
Several friends who have lost a pet were presented with a portrait of their beloved animal and I was so happy to hear that it brought healing to their sorrow and joy to their heart. Portraits can also capture happy times by remembering special occasions that can be displayed in a beautiful manner in your home, not tucked away in a drawer or picture album.
I have a heart for rescuing animals and several pet portraits were donated to animal rescues, auctions and therapy dog training to raise money and awareness for their causes. A portion of every purchase or commission will be donated to a rescue organization.
I am a Christian who loves the Lord and have found Him to be so faithful through the trials of life. My husband had a liver transplant in 2001, and God has brought us through this journey and given us an awareness of the dire need for organ donors. I hope somehow I can bring glory to God through my paintings.
Commissioning a portrait is as easy as emailing a photograph and working together to find the perfect picture.
