An eclectic collection of works done in oil, acrylics, watercolor, pastel, pen & ink, and charcoal, Anne Dentler demonstrates her proficiency in all at this studio/gallery. Listed in American Artists, Who's Who in American Women, Encyclopedia of Living Artists, IX through present, and other professional journals, her prizewinning works have displayed her versatile nature as she paints her favorite subjects. She has illustrated several books by many authors and has written and illustrated her own popular text on portrait painting,' Portraiture in Plain Language,' used in various art departments of Louisiana. Voted 'Outstanding Artist of the Year' by Gateway Foundation, Inc., in 1988, her work has consistently taken top honors in national, regional and local competitions. In 2007 she garnered the prestigious 'Mayor's Award' for her dedication to the art community, followed in 2008 by the Children's Museum Award for 'Imagination'.

She was educated at Penn State University, University Park, PA, and McNeese University in Lake Charles, LA, where she teaches adult painting classes and makes her home.

'Nature inspires me, and in Louisiana, you can't help but appreciate the beauty that comes from the land, the people, and the rich customs. I'm an addicted painter who MUST paint.'

Other gallery representations include Agora Gallery, NYC, NY, American Art Gallery, Hot Springs, AR, Carson Art, Dallas, TX, Harrington Gallery, Sulphur, LA, and Gallery by the Lake, Lake Charles, LA.
