Welcome to my photography exhibit - for the LOVE of ME - a bit of a play on words as my favorite photographs reflect many wonderful aspects of being a year-round resident here in Maine. In addition, photography is my very personal form of artistic expression - something that is for ME - as well as others who enjoy the beauty of our landscape.
Having grown up in very rural western NY state, and being drawn to ME by choice in the late '70's, nature has encompassed me throughout my life. Much of my photography reflects this, as you can see from this exhibit. Due to many years of working in 'corporate America', the need to 'break out' artistically was undeniable...after receiving a gift of a simple digital camera in 2006 - the rest as they say - was history!
After my first public exhibit at the Dyer Library in Saco in 2010, positive recognition of my work has been very humbling. My work has been included in the Maine Photography Show in Boothbay Harbor 2011 and 2012, the Maine Arts Scene Virtual Showcase of 2012 as well as juried exhibits at the Lyceum Gallery in Lewiston. Additional recognition has come multiple times from international online websites such as Betterphoto.com and the Light Space and Time Art Gallery. I am an active member of both the Saco Bay Artists organization in Ocean Park.
