This image is called Passing Through the Night Fog. This image features Union Pacific #844. Two images shot in two different locations. I removed the diesel and building in the 844 image, used the caboose in another, added night sky, smoke, steam, headlight beam and caboose lights. Assed fog and the night sky, additional vintage colors to create the final image

Photographer Ken Smith Has Released A New Image.

Castle Rock, CO - December 27th, 2012

I just finished this image. It is called "Into the Twilight Zone". I came up with that name because it now appears that UP 844 is passing itself. It is Union Pacific 844.....both times. I put into the final image motion blur of the drive rods. Also added was headlight beams for both trains as well as steam and smoke.
