Even though I enjoy creating abstract-art using three-dimensional forms, I’ve decided to create beautiful 2D-patterns and call them “Visual Music Series.” In the Visual Music paintings, I’m only going to focus on shapes, colors and patterns instead of expressing any meanings or concepts.

This is my first Visual Music painting. In my opinion, naming an artwork is like naming one’s child. I mean it’s not an easy task for me. Besides, my native language is not English. Therefore, whenever I name an artwork, I usually check the meaning of a chosen word in my dictionary and I explain my intended meaning of the titles in the descriptions just in case I might’ve chosen wrong words for my intended meaning.

When I tried to name this work, I loved the word “Grace.” So I looked it up in the dictionary. My favorite definition read “Simple beauty, esp in movement.” I loved “Simple beauty” but I thought this painting lacked movement. Curves suggest move...

My actual name is Kyaw Zaw Linn and my art-name is David Winson. I was born on September 14, 1981. I have three obsessions which are learning new things, playing racing games and creating art. For everyone, art is communication (at least one-way communication without commenting from viewers and artists reading them). For artists, art is expression or giving messages. For viewers, art is impression or receiving messages, and viewers can even go one step further than impression.
