A totally adequate purchase - nothing outstanding, nothing problematic. Since the original was one of your stock images, I cannot speak to whether this was a clear image, besides which the original was a watercolor, so clarity is not essential to the success of the image. I predict that a larger image would lack clarity. But I'm generally satisfied.

My husband and I had a lovely trip to Paris and southern France last July. While on a bus trip we were able to take a photo of this cafe that we share a name with. Our photo was a little blurry and not good for enlargement. Your wonderful photo now hangs in our own kitchen as a nice reminder of that trip. It is beautiful and of very good quality. We love it. Thank you Mary Flore

Beautiful picture. Grew up on northshore so wanted something from there. Metal picture really shows the colors and picture quality is very clear.

This is one of three pieces that I am adding to my collection. Once I have received the other two pieces I will be happy to provide a photograph of the display. The quality of the art piece is exceptional. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase even more pieces!
Artist's Description
At 7:05 PM Eastern Standard Time (EST) on April 25, 1967, EC-121H serial number 53-0549 crashed and was destroyed one mile south of the western tip of Nantucket Island, Massachusetts. Of the 16 crew-members aboard the aircraft, 15 were fatalities. One of the two navigators aboard, 1st Lt Joseph L.H. Guenet, survived sustaining major injuries. The aircraft and its crew were assigned to the 551st Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) Wing and were participating in an active air defense mission over the Atlantic Ocean. The aircraft commander for the flight (Colonel James P. Lyle/551st AEW&C wing commander) briefed the aircrew and completed a normal pre-flight clearance form for the mission. At 6:58 p.m. EST, Col Lyle reported climbing through 6,000 feet and on a heading of 150 degrees. Following this transmission, he declared that he thought the number three engine was on fire and that the aircraft was returning to Otis Air Force Base. One minute later, he stated the fire was in the...

I was 14 years old in 1967 when this aircraft crashed into the Atlantic off of Nantucket Island. My family lived on Cape Cod and my father was assigned to Otis AFB as a Field Training Instructor on the avionics systems for the EC-121H. I remember the sadness I felt when I heard the news that this aircraft had gone down. I created this profile as a tribute to those airman on board 53-0549.
