I loved the card. Message inside was perfect (just like I requested) Only comment - the picture seemed too large for the card (glue showing on the side) Next time I will down size the picture. I have ordered many cards from fineartamerica and have been very pleased with the artist selection and quality of the art. Paul Cutright

Of the 16 crew-members aboard the aircraft, 15 were fatalities. One of the two navigators aboard, 1st Lt Joseph L.H. Guenet, survived sustaining major injuries. The aircraft and its crew were assigned to the 551st Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) Wing and were participating in an active air defense mission over the Atlantic Ocean. At 6:58 p.m. EST, Col Lyle reported climbing through 6,000 feet and on a heading of 150 degrees. I was 14 years old in 1967 when this aircraft crashed into the Atlantic off of Nantucket Island. My family lived on Cape Cod and my father was assigned to Otis AFB as a Field Training Instructor on the avionics systems for the EC-121H. I remember the sadness I felt when I heard the news that this aircraft had gone down. I created this profile as a tribute to those airman on board 53-0549.
