When living in California for over twenty years, we went to Yosemite many weekends a year, and spend a week or more there during some vacations. On our Honeymoon, we spent three days there as part of our trip to places up Highway 49 through areas where prospectors mined a lot of the gold in California. Then over Donner Pass down to Reno, Virginia City, back up to Lake Tahoe, and south on 395 to Yosemite again.
