Based on Pennsylvania Dutch hex signs, this is a yellow distelfink bird, tulip and hearts hex design sketched by my dad, Otto Werner, which I have revived. Although this design has its roots in the traditional barn hex sign folk art of early Pennsylvania Dutch and Mennonite settlers, it has been updated with a little flair. The green leaves, the red and yellow tulip flowers, the yellow bird distelfinks within a closed circle symbolizes eternal love, luck and success.
