Black and white pen and ink animal illustration of a yellow boxfish. I created this drawing using a dot work, or stippling technique, using on of my own photographs as reference.
Yellow boxfish are a tropical species of fish found in ocean reefs. These fish match their name well as they really are box shape. Their bodies are a vibrant yellow and are covered in dark spots, both of which fade and change colour slightly as they mature into adults.
