Description
Wulfenite is a lead molybdate mineral which is often found as thin, tabular crystals with a bright orange-red to yellow-orange color, sometimes brown, although the color can be highly variable. This yellow form is sometimes called "yellow lead ore" and is displayed in the mineral gallery at the Arizona-Sonoran Desert Museum near Tucson, Arizona. Wulfenite has been mined at many locations in Arizona.

As a mineral collector I really appreciate this image. I bit darker rendering would be more true to color.

Thanks, Bill! Wulfenite is actually quite variable, and this one is a particularly light yellow. Most are much darker, even brownish.
