Description
In this drawing Wren (the bird) is singing from the center of her heart portal. Her song emanates not from force or size, but from the pure radiance of her heart. She is calling Wolf to sing from his open heart. With this expanded heart Wolf has even more capacity to share his gift of living with authentic self confidence in the world. Wrens gift of heart radiance complements Wolfs strength of no need to prove ones self.
I was camping in Utah when I had a life changing dream that called me to go on a pilgrimage. I continued to have this dream for two years, building my desire to go home until my whole being ached because I did not know where to go. I asked Great Spirit for a dream of a map with a pin stuck at You Are Here or maybe a town name so I could know how to get there. I received no such dream.
So I stopped waiting and went out and bought a map of the states I sensed where my place to start. I opened up the Idaho map and started searching for something that felt like a bingo and quickly found a town named
Robin. I had never heard of a town named Robin. I figured that was as close to You Are Here as I was going to get. That night I bought a plane ticket to Pocatello, the closest airport to the town of Robin. I felt strangely hopeful even though I had no plan of where to go once I arrived. The very next day I received a letter inviting people who felt called to participate in a Naraya Dance, a spiritual dance of all people. I look at the home address of the Elders who are leading the dance. Its in Pocatello! I almost fell off my chair. The timing was so perfect it was remarkable.
During the dance I met a powerful medicine woman who demolished my resistance to doing my work as a singer with a medicine song. After this medicine woman worked with me, I sang my Singing Medicine to the whole group with a potency I did not know was possible. Other dancers reflected back to me how much it meant to them when I sang. I walked away a changed person.
