This print is beautiful. It's a commonly depicted subject, but it is very special. The composition, tonal quality, and movement are exceptional and evocative. The piece is true to it's title... breathtaking!

I have wanted this for my pro life bulletin board at my Catholic Church and I wasn’t disappointed. It is beautiful and it has so much meaning put in a picture. A picture speaks better then words and this picture says it all. Thanks
Artist's Description
Wormsloe Plantation is a very popular and iconic place to visit when you are in Savannah GA area The beautiful old gate and concrete arch, the live oaks dripping with Spanish moss, what's not to love? The avenue beyond the gate leads to the tabby ruins of Wormsloe, the colonial estate of Noble Jones (1702-1775). (Tabby is a type of concrete made with oyster shells). Jones was a humble carpenter who arrived in Georgia in 1733 with James Oglethorpe and the first group of settlers from England. Wormsloe's tabby ruin is the oldest standing structure in Savannah. A testament to the opportunities that existed in early North America, Jones went on to serve the colony as a doctor, constable, Indian agent, Royal Councilor and surveyor, laying out the towns of Augusta and New Ebenezer. He also commanded a company of marines charged with defending the Georgia coast f...
About Joan Carroll
Protected with PIXSY About Joan Carroll: I am a Fort Worth Texas-based outdoor photographer who feels at home while on the road...in Texas, in the US, around the world. Wherever I go I want to walk every street, hike every trail, ride the bus or metro, climb every tower, walk around and through every monument, and then do it all over again when the light changes. In every place, light, mood, color, and...
