About Timothy Hedges
Having been an avid photographer of buildings, statues, and other inanimate objects for several years I've found myself most strongly drawn into the world of High Dynamic Range (HDR) photography. I've noticed that while a group of photographers can simply line up and each take a picture of the same, exact thing the very act of doing so leads to pictures which become largely indiscriminate of each other. That is not to say that such photos are bad, by any means, but I feel they sometimes lack the "personal" touch, which could turn them into so much more. I've found that HDR techniques create almost limitless possibilities... allowing for the same scene to take on many different hats and personalities... from realistic, to surreal... and...
