I loved the card. Message inside was perfect (just like I requested) Only comment - the picture seemed too large for the card (glue showing on the side) Next time I will down size the picture. I have ordered many cards from fineartamerica and have been very pleased with the artist selection and quality of the art. Paul Cutright

I thought the colors could have been a little brighter but I was happy with the product!
Did you happen to see the full moon set this morning? Initially high in the sky, gleaming like a beacon, and then, as it lowered, seemingly growing larger and more orange and then gone, as the sea turned silver and the sky and mist turned a pale blue and pink. Too gorgeous to do anything but stare and wonder and admire.
Well, this moon, that I created last week using metal and scratches and a bunch of other things that I can't remember right now, isn't orange. It's stationary. And it's moody. And it's dark. But I like its mystery, the way the scratches imply movement, the way a tide moves out, and waves move toward shore. And could those be birds flying here and there? Some spray? Some bubbles?
This month celebrates the "Wolf Moon." Awhooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
I'm a photographer, writer, educator based on Whidbey Island in the Pacific Northwest, specializing in photomontage work, combining photos I've taken of rust, walls, peeling paint, birds, postage stamps, trees, etc. into images that are completely new, different, and often weird. I also create physical collages, then find myself photographing parts of them to include in my photomontages. It's crazy, but it's fun! My career has encompassed writing guidebooks (primarily about where to photograph in California), newsletters (guides for photographers about where to photograph in the United States), leading photo workshops, and conducting online classes. Vale, Natalia, Ross and Maria, thanks for your comments. I almost didn't upload this one, thinking that perhaps it was too dark and spooky! But I'm rather fond of it myself. And Ross? "Calmative?" You do have a way with words . . .
