Description
I'd heard the wildflowers on Black Bear Pass looked good. When I got to this spot though, I could see they were better than good... they were amazing! It made for a great shot with colorful paintbrush, a calm water reflection, and stunning milky way skies - the stuff dreams are made of.
How I Got The Shot
Aside from using some gentle off-camera light painting, I used some focus stacking to make this image come to life. With multiple exposures each using the same settings and but with varied focus points, I was able to get everything from the flowers to the milky way stars in focus. I then blended the exposures together in Photoshop using techniques I've shared in my video tutorial on blending multiple exposures.
