WHITES~ Every Summer Ms. Simon has a mating pair of doves (mourning doves) that turn her porch into a nursery. Doves' are that of patience, their voice along with the soft hue of their bodies, and the kind glow of their eyes all lead to thoughts of softness, tenderness, symbols of love, passion and life. These sacred birds are devoted lovers, hence the symbol of marriage. Often white doves adorn the tops of wedding cakes as a symbol of love. Mating for life, doves are of the creative and feminine energies, qualities of home, security and maternal instincts. Gentleness, cooing soothes and quiets our worried and troubled thoughts, and enables us to find renewal, comfort and reassurance. The dove is one of the most venerated creatures, symbolizing the spirit, the soul, and a messenger of peace in the deepest kind. Picasso said that his father had taught him to paint doves, concluding, "I stand for life against death; I stand for peace against war".

Art played a big role for Ms. Simon very early on in her life. Linda made use to all that was offered in High School, she took Mechanical drawing, a two year trade school commercial art program, and almost triple majored in Art. Her artist influences include Norman Rockwell, Edgar Degas, Renoir and Nicolas Poussin's "Adoration of the Shepherds". Linda has quality, Contemporary Fine Art based on the enduring aesthetic principles of the old masters, using faces of her family, pets, and dear friends holding hints of Linda's life.
