A broad view of the Mediterranean style architecture of the landmark Belle Haven apartment building in downtown Sarasota, Florida. The Belle Haven opened for business in 1926 as a seasonal apartment rental on Broadway Avenue in downtown Sarasota. This iconic, 1920's era building sits vacant today ... the victim of time and circumstance but the beautiful architecture is still a jewel in Sarasota's history. The Belle Haven was added to the Register of Historic Places in 1983.
