Waxing gibbous Moon. The moon is approaching a full moon (increasing in size) and is therefore said to be waxing. It is gibbous when it is more than half full. The dark area on the Moon at lower left is Mare Insularum. Within it is the Copernicus crater. Photographed on the 3rd April 2020 from Cumeada Observatory, Reguengos de Monsaraz, Portugal.
