Artist's Description
After a good night's sleep, we were out and about to greet the rising sun at the Sand Dunes.
It took a good hour after sunrise for the sun to break the ridge line of the Sangre De Cristo Mountains which in turn gave us plenty of time to find a natural wind block from the howling winds that were sweeping the area for a few days. These winds prevented us from hiking into and on top of the dunes; it would have caused major camera shake and dust lodging into our gear.
We made due with what was presented us, and came away with quality images none of the less...
