The beach on the Long Island Sound at Watch Hill RI is called Napatree. A walk down the steep dunes takes you to a sheltered beach. Napatree Point can be seen in the distance.I loved the clouds the surf and the far off sailboat on the day I sketched this view.

Art has been my passion for most of my life. I studied at the Art Students League in New York City, then worked in the graphic arts field. For many years I have been painting in watercolor, oil, and acrylic mediums. My style has changed from realism to include impressionistic and abstract compositions. I want to capture the shapes and colors of nature by experimenting with different surfaces. Yupo and oriental papers allow me a freedom with watercolor and acrylic paints and inks.The medium and paper always lead me on to new paths of discovery.
