I absolutely love this photo of Hazel. My first visit to the Smoky Mountains was in April 2017. I have been searching for a black bear photo for years and this one stole my heart. This beautiful girl was photographed the same year. I am very pleased with the canvas print!!

These were two feral kittens from my local park. I used to feed them and altered both of them after they matured. I haven't seen either of them in a long time. The one on the left I named Rex, and the one on the right I named Princess. There were two other kittens in this litter of Baby's (Baby is their mom, I still see and feed her), Junior and Smirkles. Smirkles is the only one I still see and the only one I haven't been able to catch to TNR. This was a magical time at the park, watching these darling little kittens first start to follow their mom to the feeding station. Here they were watching her eat, it was before they ever ventured down from their hiding place on this dew covered hill. The sea is out of the frame just to the right, this was very early morning.
I gave this photo a vintage feel, because there is a certain romantic treasured sentiment to the shot that I f...

Adorable kittens! I hope you are able to trap/spay-neuter/return. I feed ferals on my front porch. A mother brought her three kittens to the food source. I have managed to tame the little tom with canned catfood. One of the two girls is tame enough to harass me mercilessly when I sleep on my back deck but won't let me near if I am standing. (I feed them b'fast and dinner of canned and they have dry the rest of the time.) I have 3 cats living in my house who started life feral. Oddly, the boyz are much easier to tame than the girlz.
Anita Dale Livaditis replied:
Alice, it is so good to meet another feral cat lover/tamer. I am so happy to hear of your success and compassion! You know, I have never thought of it, but what you say may be true about the males and females. I ususally try touching them while they are eating soft food, and of course at first they freak out, but slowly slowly, if the food is delicious enough, they will begin to tolerate it, next thing you know they are rubbing against my legs. Also I play with them, first from a distance and then closer up with a leaf on a stick. But I think you are right, the females are harder and especially if they are unaltered. I have one female we altered who comes to our door to eat and now I can stroke her; conversely, there are two mature females at the park, unaltered, that I have had very little success with. Thank you for the insight! The two in this picture are almost as big as their mom now! That is a female is on the left and she is a holy terror!!! You never heard such complaining! :D Thank you, again, Alice.
Anita Dale Livaditis replied:
Sorry, I meant the right - the holy terror "worrier" princess is on the right! Her brother is pretty chill, he's on the left.
Thelma Harcum
This is an awesome picture of the cute little cats. I love the vibrant colors of violets and green with the light in the background. So nice, Anita.
Anita Dale Livaditis replied:
:) Thank you, Thelma. They have gotten so big now! They come down to eat with the big cats. :) She had four of them, all black and white like these two. They were watching their Mom here as the sun rose behind them. Thank you!
Anne-Elizabeth Whiteway
P.S. Love the colors in this: delightful..
Anita Dale Livaditis replied:
Thank you, Anne Elizabeth! It's always good to meet another cat lover.
