Description
Volunteers uncapping honeycomb from urban farm beehives. They are using a fork to remove the wax cappings from the comb. The honeycomb can then be cut into sections or put in a centrifuge to extract the honey. The empty comb can be re-used and the wax cappings are saved to make beeswax. Photographed at Earthworks Urban Farm, which produces food for a soup kitchen in Detroit, Michigan , USA.
