Description
Vineyard Grapes - This was a bunch of grapes that I spotted while walking through the rows at Williamsburg Winery in Williamsburg, Virginia. They are near ripe and almost ready to pick.
Unbeknownst to many, Virginia is the birthplace of winemaking in the United States. The first land owning settlers were required by law to grow grapes for wine making. Thomas Jefferson brought over an Italian vintner to start and tend his vineyard. The mountains of Virginia are climatically similar to those in Italy and some of the best wine if the world comes from Virginia.
