Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

This Station represents the place where Christ's most sacred body was taken down from the Cross by Joseph and Nicodemus, and laid in the bosom of His weeping Mother.
Joseph of Arimathea a wealthy man and a high-ranking member of the Senhedrin, was making arrangements for the burial of Jesus. He was a disciple of Jesus and had not taken part in the plotting of the Senhedrin, but he had kept his faith in Christ a secret because he was afraid his colleagues on the Council would condemn him. Now, however, the time had come for him to proclaim his allegiance, regardless of the consequences. Returning to Jerusalem, he went to the praetorium and boldly asked Pilate for permission to take away the body of Jesus. The procurator was surprised to hear that Jesus was already dead; and he sent for the centurion whom he had assigned to supervise the crucifixion. Svitozar Nenyuk is known primarily for his religious paintings depicting angels, saints, and martyrs, and for his portraits. Svitozar was born in the Carpathian Mountains in Ukraine. Soon after his birth, instead of a toy his father gave him a brush. He began painting and has continued doing art ever since. When he was eleven, he enrolled at the Kyiv Republican Art School. There he studied for seven years from 1973 to1980. After that he studied briefly at the Odessa Art School in 1980- 1981. He then moved to Lithuania. He went to Vilnius in 1981 and was shortly admitted to the State Lithuanian Art Academy as a student. Six years after, in 1987 Svitozar was graduated from the Lithuanian Art Academy. In 1987- 89 he did work as an art...
