Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….
Slowly sinking and loosing its population, Venice remains one of the most iconic and magical places on the planet. Located in northeastern Italy, the city is sited on a group of 118 small islands, separated by canals and linked by bridges. Travel around the city is by foot or by boat. Known for the beauty of its setting, its architecture and its artwork, Venice along with its lagoon, is listed as a World Heritage Site. Commerce, art and maritime power, especially during the Middle Ages and Renaissance made Venice a wealthy city for most of its history. With land at a premium and capitalism as a major force, the rich built large palaces along the Grand Canal, rather than large country estates or castles. This image was treated with textures and a watercolor technique.
My love for photography began when, as a child I received my first Brownie camera and began documenting the animals in my life. Later I combined my interest in taking pictures with my love for travel. My husband and I have been fortunate to visit many wonderful places, always with a camera in hand. I discovered the world of digital photography and was fascinated with adding to and rearranging elements in photographs. I have taught classes on adding textures to photos to make them unique and beautiful. I have taken many courses to add to my skills and knowledge on how to enhance my images.
