Description
Introducing "Veiled Courage", 2018.
Tigers are considered "the beast above all beasts" in Asian culture, often depicted in Asian art with Tsai Shen Yeh, the Chinese God of Wealth, riding upon its back. So WHY are tigers heavily poached by Asian cultures for their bones, skin, and meat believed to be important in preparing traditional Asian medicine (without any proof of the supposed benefit)? The tiger species is currently endangered, with less than 4,000 tigers still existing in the wild. Two of the tiger species (South China Tiger, and Sumatra Tiger) are critically endangered, with no South China Tigers left in the wild. The tiger species is threatened by poaching, retaliation, and loss of habitat. Tigers are extremely territorial, and only cohabitating with their young for the first 2 years of the cubs' life. This solitary life style, combined with the lack of habitat (due to deforestation), force tigers to encroach on human space, and feed on their livestock/animals. This creates a retaliatory behavior in humans who hunt/kill tigers to protect their livestock, and at times their own lives. Humans have created a hostile living environment for our wildlife. It is so very important for people to see the value of conserving our wildlife and their habitat, so they can live a lifestyle conducive to their purpose. Tigers are extremely important to our ecosystem. As apex predators, their existence is necessary to maintain the delicate balance of our ecosystem. We can not afford to be ignorant or short-sighted about their importance to OUR existence. Life is such an important balance, and as my wonderful conservation say... " We need to start seeing ourselves as PART of the landscape". Protecting our environment and wildlife, assure a healthy existence for us all!!! In short, Tigers have had to compete for space and food with growing populations of humans and domestic animals, please consider all the ways you can help conserve a healthy wildlife and ecosystem.

Extraordinary work of art and tragic words of their endangerment, Tanya. I just shake my head at the reckless, careless, Thoughtless, and evil nature of those who would contribute to their extinction. Thank you for your voice, love, and concern for these magnificent creatures.....Fav / Like

Thank your do much, Jerry. I am also so very troubled by the current status of our wildlife. It appears to be a no win situation for these amazing creatures, but awareness is power! Thank you as always for your support.
