From Wikipedia: The white-tailed deer, also known as the Virginia deer or simply as the whitetail, is a medium-sized deer native to the Americas. Females can give birth to as many as three young, known as fawns, in mid to late spring, generally in May or June. Fawns lose their spots by the end of their first summer.
