Artist's Description
A typical back road surrounded by grape vines and olive trees, leading to a farm house in Tuscany. The Tuscan hills around Siena, Florence and Montepulciano Italy, are some of my favourite Italian landscapes to paint. This region has distinct seasons which can make any two paintings done of the sample subject in different seasons look totally different. While looking for some of the out of the way places to paint. I criss-crossed many small roads like this, after following one for what seemed miles expecting to come to some village, it ended at a private Tuscan farm. Image shovelling this driveway in winter.
