Aerial view of Tunnels Beach or Makua on the north shore of Kauai from a helicopter tour of the Hawaiian island. Tunnels is the ultimate snorkelling and scuba diving beach in the summer. This crescent shaped bay is fringed by palms and Ironwood trees. The golden sand beach has a backdrop of lush jungle and mountains making this a picture perfect beach. From the air you can see the shallow reef. On this day the waves crashing on the outside were more than 15 feet.
