Description
Tree of Life, the concept of a tree of life has been used in biology, religion, philosophy, and mythology. A tree of life is a common motif in various world theologies, mythologies, and philosophies. It alludes to the interconnection of all life on our planet and serves as a metaphor for common descent in the evolutionary sense. The term tree of life may also be used as a synonym for sacred tree.
To me color shows life and growth. I loved the black and white scene it was very dramatic but I missed the fall colors showing us the season in which this was taken. Keeping the original color of the one tree with a few fallen trees and the foreground rock nicely frames the shot creating a dynamic scene.
This was taken in Big Cottonwood Canyon just southeast of Salt Lake City Utah.
