Description
The digitally enhanced painterly-style rendering of an old passenger baggage cart located at the old L&N Train Depot, in Madisonville, Kentucky. Stenciled on the side in fading white lettering is Evansville, Indiana, possibly meaning any luggage on that cart would be destined for Evansville, Indiana, which is roughly 45 miles from here. It would be interesting to know just how many suitcases, trunks, and assorted mail this cart might have been laden with over the time the depot was in use, from 1929-1964.
