The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

Artist's Description
Painting of tornado created in encaustic (hot wax); see title for date and location of tornado. The original encaustic painting is painted on masonite, mounted on a plywood mat and framed in contemporary style chocolate wood frame. It is ready to hang with a wire and bumpers on the back. Outside Dimensions: 11" x 15" x 1.25" deep.

BIO Born: Cleveland, OH Lives and Works: Austin, TX Marilyn Fenn has been creating art in one form or another since early childhood. In 1985, she returned to college to study fine art -- graduating in 1992 with a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where she studied with several of the famed Chicago Imagists. Marilyn has exhibited her work in numerous juried and invitational group and solo shows, and given art demonstrations, classes and talks. She is an active member in several local artist organizations. Marilyn's work is collected in private collections across the country and abroad.
