Toledo Peoria Western Pullman Railroad Private Car Collage.
This car was in service for the Toledo Peoria & Western Railroad.
This was the Presidents private car of the railroad line.
Built: 1890 by the Pullman Company and named "El Fleta" or "Flecha" (Arrow).
Original owner: Millionaire brakeman John Bunting.
2nd owner: February 1910 - Colorado and Wyoming Railroad Company purchased for $18,756.67
3rd owner: June 1931 - Colorado Fuel and Iron Corp. The car was renamed "Sunrise".
4th owner: Chicago Burlington & Quincy Railroad. Traded to them for ten used dump cars.
Chicago Burlington & Quincy Railroad changed the cars name to "Business Car No. 98."
5th owner: 1934 - Toledo Peoria Western Railroad Company purchased for $11,520.00 and renamed "Car #1".
In service for the Toledo Peoria Western Railroad Company President George McNear from 1934 until 1947.
From 1947 until 1957 not in service and stored on a siding in the Toledo Peoria Western East Peoria freight yards.
6th owner: 1957 - Pete Vonachen purchased for $200.00 and restored at a cost of $5,200.00 into a Eloquent Dining Car restaurant.
7th owner: Wheels O' Time Museum.
This car is currently being restored at the Wheels O' Time Museum in Dunlap, IL. Just outside of Peoria, IL.
