Description
Tofukuji is a Buddhist temple located in the south of Kyoto. Like all temples its grounds are quite extensive with many prayer halls and gardens. Tofokuji is also one of Kyoto's most important kuyu (autumn colors) viewing spot. The original photo that inspired this digital painting was taken near a small ravine in autumn. The slope of the ravines were covered with bright, very small red leaves (about one inch in size) from some dwarf maple tress. Quite a lovely sight.
