Today is a New Day was created using only colored pencils on paper, and was accepted into the elite Colored Pencil Society of America's International Convention in 2012. This piece was created with my dad in mind, during his treatment for stage 4 lung cancer, and is not only what kept me sane, but also what brought him great joy as I shared my progress with him. My dad didn't win his battle with cancer, but I can rest assured that Today really IS a new day, and anything in life can be achieved!
