Description
I will first apologize for the title...........That really is the title I used when I entered it in a snooty art show. I had shown in this show before and remembered how uppity the people in charge were, so I thought it might be fun to submit a relatively conventional canvas with a strange title. The lady at the check-in table read the title, looked at me and back at the title then, read it back to me as if I didn't know what it said............"There's a party in my................" ...........She stared blankly at me for a minute which I found amusing. Then, very slowly, enunciating very articulately I said...................."Plants"..........She looked down, took my money and never said another word. I waited until I was in my truck on the way out of the parking lot to enjoy her reaction............The stuffy old bat..................

Revisiting to capture is party of irises and plant them in my entry to the contest to curate my own exhibition of contemporary floral paintings... let me know if you have something in a vase... I just love this one. Ha ha! Funny story. I posted this on FB and someone inferred that I painted it with my elbows...........Well now, that would take dexterity I just do not possess!!...Ha!!...I am glad you like it Ana.
