Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

The story of how I got this picture (and several more) of this Mama bear and her two cubs is so funny! Last Saturday, my husband and I took another one of our day trips to Cades Cove in the Smoky Mountains of TN.
Before you get into the Cove, there is a country store across the street from the Ranger Station that serves some of the most delicious barbeque pork with cole slaw sandwiches I have ever tasted. We usually get two and stop at one of our favorite spots in the Cove and eat them with potato chips and drinks that we bring along on the trip.
Well, I was saving my appetite for my sandwich and thought we were going to get them before we entered the Cove on our first drive-thru. When my husband passed the turn-off for the store, I asked him weren't we going to get our sandwiches first. He said no and that he thought we would get them before our second drive through the Cove. Disappointed, I agreed.
