Description
When I was just a young boy there was a very old working dairy farm directly across the road where I grew up. Spent much of my youth there working for the farmer doing all sorts of little things like spreading the bedding hay around the stanchions where the cows were, feeding them there allotment of grain and of course scooping up the manure that the cows would manage to get everywhere. All this for a gallon of milk or some lose change. As I got older one day the farmer sad to me "ya know how to drive a tractor?" well of course I wasn't about to say no. So from then on during the summers when it was time to make hay there I was sitting on top of the world on a very old McCormick tractor, seeing that this was in the late 50's I can only imagine that the tractor was something from around the middle 40's.
Well anyway, its has been a very long time since those days. I haven't been bin back to my old stomping grounds for some time but I often think of the good old days I had down,
