You know what makes this image? It’s the lighting. This same tiny waterfall on a non foggy day wouldn’t be very impressive. You’d probably take a quick look and keep walking. Like my photography instructors kept saying, it’s the lighting that’s so important. I’d go so far as to say, the quality of light makes the image. Of course, you still need a strong composition and interesting subject, but the soft foggy lighting always draws me in for more. I spent 2 days chasing the fog in the mountains. Couldn’t get enough.
