Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

This Watercolor painting was started with a process of crumpled tissue, beautiful pigments of blue, green and burnt Sienna, followed by a wet-into-wet painting. Once dry, a second layer of color is applied wet-into-dry, building layer upon layers. To find the weaknesses,, I took the painting to a blueprint maker to scan and print a 17 x11 Copy. I saw immediately the dry leaves on the lower right were not folding correctly, and it needed more depth. In the end, the vibrant colors in a tranquil setting made for a work I doubt I can match, today. Art by Maria Hunt. Copyright protected.
