THE IMPENDING STORM is a digital photograph by Carla Parris.
It features an American bald eagle perched on a treetop branch, facing turbulent skies and an impending storm.
The rapidly fading light which remains highlights the eagle's striking white head and his noble profile, as he bravely faces the approaching winds and rain.
This majestic creature was photographed along the Forgotten Coast of Florida, on Highway 98, between Eastpoint and Carrabelle.
Textures include Summer Morning and In the Forest by Jai Johnson.
About Carla Parris
My love of photography grew out of capturing images from my travels, so photographs of beautiful and interesting places comprise a large portion of my portfolio. I am a Southern girl, and love the beauty that is in my back yard, so there are also lots of images from close to home. These include images of our beautiful Gulf Coast beaches, which I visit any time I can! I also enjoy capturing images of interesting flora and fauna, and wildlife images I am able to capture with my newest telephoto lens! I am a painter, as well as a photographer, and offer galleries of paintings and mixed media pieces. My interest in traditional art has spilled over to my post processing of photographs, and in addition to images with minimal post...
